Implant Dentistry

As an implant dentist, Dr. Amstadt has studied surgical placement and esthetic restoration of dental implants. This exciting solution to traditional dentures and bridges looks and feels like nature intended. Dental implants consist of a titanium post and a single crown or a multiple-tooth prosthetic (bridge or denture). Because implants are anchored with a replacement tooth root, they never slip out of place, and they don’t require special care, like a denture. Patients across the globe feel younger, healthier, and more attractive because of modern dental implants. If you’re interested in learning more about dental implants, call for a free evaluation.

The Procedure
Dental implant placement and restoration requires multiple visits. After the initial consultation, if Dr. Amstadt determines that your bone density and oral health are right for implants, we’ll schedule your procedure. The minimally invasive surgery involves precision placement of small, titanium screws into the sockets left by missing teeth. We use an iCAT to accurately plan placement of implants.

Once your dental implant posts are in place, your jawbone will naturally begin to incorporate them, forming a solid anchor, much like a healthy, natural tooth root. While your dental implants heal, you may wear a temporary. Once the healing process is complete, Dr. Amstadt will place your single or multiple-tooth restoration atop the dental implant post. Single-tooth restorations are permanent, and they require no special care.

Implant-Supported Bridges, Partials, & Dentures
Patients who find dentures cumbersome and inconvenient often prefer dental implant-retained dentures. Dr. Amstadt can place a few dental implants into your jaw to anchor a partial or full denture. With implant-retained dentures, you’ll no longer worry about slippage, and you won’t have to use adhesive.

Dental implants can change your life. You deserve comfortable, reliable oral function and a smile you can proudly show off. Call to reserve your personal dental implant consultation with Dr. Amstadt.
