Popular Questions

What will dental implants do for my lifestyle?
Dental implants are a replacement tooth option that closely mimics natural tooth structure. Dr. Amstadt can place and restore dental implants to hold single replacement teeth or a bridge, partial, or denture. With implants, you will be able to eat whatever you like, whenever you like, with full confidence. Implants won’t slip out of place, and they don’t require clasps, adhesives, or special care. Call today to schedule your personal consultation with Dr. Amstadt, and learn how dental implants can change your life!

What will my first visit include?
Set aside about an hour for your first visit. It could take from 45 to 70 minutes. At the appointment, Dr. Amstadt will sit down with you to discuss why you came to us, how we can help you, and what concerns you have about your smile or dental visits in general. You can ask as many questions as you like, and Dr. Amstadt will be happy to answer. This meeting allows us to get to know one another. We will learn how we can make your dental experience rewarding. Dr. Amstadt will then evaluate your teeth, gums, existing dental work, and jawbone. He’ll check your occlusion, which refers to the way your upper and lower teeth fit together. If you experience headaches or other irritating problems, he’ll look for the cause of the pain so that we can find a solution. We may take X-rays and photos of your teeth to aid in accurate diagnoses. Once the exam and record taking are complete, Dr. Amstadt will recommend solutions to solve your dental problems, then work with you to determine a treatment plan that suits your lifestyle, budget, and goals.

I get nervous about visiting the dentist, so I often postpone and cancel appointments. What can Dr. Amstadt do to help me relax?
Dr. Amstadt believes that comfort is an important part of excellent dental care. He provides nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and a combination of these two anesthesia methods, called conscious sedation. For patients who suffer from memories of bad dental experiences, control issues, or discomfort in the dental chair, conscious sedation presents a way to feel confident, comfortable, and relaxed during treatment.
