What is a Prosthodontist?
A prosthodontist is a dentist who specializes in treating conditions associated with broken or missing teeth . Sometimes called cosmetic dentists, prosthodontists use modern cosmetic dentistry techniques to help dental patients by restoring damaged or missing teeth with materials that look and perform like the real thing.
After dental school, prosthodontists continue their studies for an additional two to three years by working in hospitals and/or university based programs that are accredited by the American Dental Association. The training includes reviews of procedures, lectures, and real world hands-on experience treating patients and performing numerous restorative procedures.
While our dentists are not prosthodontists, they have attained significant education in cosmetic and prosthetic dentistry, as well as surgical and occlusion training. Even better, they have practical experience, countless success cases and creative and flexible treatment options that are hard to find.
